Biliana Cicin-Sain "Welcome to OCEANS DAY"

The Global Forum on Oceans, Coasts, and Islands
The Global Forum brings together ocean leaders from governments, intergovernmental and international organizations, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, ocean donors, and scientific institutions, to achieve the sustainable development of oceans, coasts, and islands.
Oceans Day at Copenhagen: Oceans Day highlighted the direct link between climate change, the health of the oceans, and human well-being, as well as highlight the need for sufficient funding to support bold mitigation and adaptation actions that will minimize climate change impacts on coastal communities and ocean resources.
